Szinopszis:
Mr. Sairi spent his entire life in Timbulsloko, on the island of Java. He grew up and started a family here, the ocean is indispensable in his life, as it means his livelihood as a fisherman. He's happy here. Despite the circumstances. The Timbulsloko region is in a constant struggle with the ocean. As a result of decades of groundwater extraction, sea level rise, and changes in weather patterns, the area was flooded, and the village and its residents were forced to adapt both to environmental destruction and climate change.
Rendező biográfia:
All of our projects aim to highlight the real human lives behind the climate crisis. Showing personal stories to elicit emotions and global action is the main point of our films. It is essential that linear film making is no longer enough. We have to include the communities who are featured in the movie, we have to tell the story in their own voices, and let them be a part of the process of film making. That was our philosophy during our latest film, Changing Tides.
