FILM REVIEWS 2022
Categories of the International Nature and Environment Film Review:
Both Hungarian and international films are invited to participate in this Film Review. In all categories, the filmmakers are expected to show an individual vision, a unique visual presentation, and, if possible, a novel and innovative choice of subject matter. Films submitted in an inappropriate category may be reclassified to the proper category by the Promoter. Entries are free of charge. Entries may be submitted via www.naturfestandfilm.hu or via www.filmfreeway.com. Incomplete entries may be rejected by the Promoter without notice. The same film may be entered in only one category of the same Film Review.
Nature film category:
films over 40 minutes in length in English or Hungarian are eligible. For films in other languages, subtitles in English or Hungarian are required. The Call for Entries is open to high-quality scientific and educational works on the themes of nature conservation, nature, environment, sustainability and climate protection. In this category, a trailer of up to 3 minutes is required.

In addition to the above, all winning entries will be given the opportunity, subject to other contractual obligations, to be screened in several countries and on several channels.
Short film category:
Short films of up to 40 minutes in length in English or Hungarian. For works in other languages, subtitles in English or Hungarian are required. The call for entries should be in English or in Hungarian only. For entries longer than 20 minutes, a trailer of up to 3 minutes is required.

There is no time limit for this category, and works in English or Hungarian are eligible. For works in other languages, English or Hungarian subtitles are required. In English and Hungarian only. For entries longer than 20 minutes, a trailer of up to 3 minutes is required.

In addition, in 2022, an amateur nature film category called Third Eye will be launched for the first time.
Within the category, we welcome Hungarian and international hobby and amateur film productions, even in the form of unedited etudes made with a telephone, but only on the theme of nature conservation and environmental protection, with a maximum length of 5 minutes in English or Hungarian.
