In South-West of Uganda is the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. A wild ecosystem drawn by the orthography of three sleeping giants, the Muhavura, Gahinga and Sabinyo volcanoes. A forest paradise covered by a sea of clouds that constantly caresses the treetops, where the protagonists of our story live: Joy and the Nyakagezi family. Ranger and mother of two children, Joy dedicates her days to protect the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and more specifically to the only family of mountain gorillas that lives in its forests: the Nyakagezi family.

Rendező biográfia:

Aner Etxebarria is a filmmaker of conservation and anthropology stories, whose passion for wild nature and indigenous worlds has led him to produce, script and direct documentaries in several countries including: Iceland, Mozambique, Bolivia, Mongolia and Brazil. He spent months living with the Quechua communities of Peru and Bolivia, directing and producing documentary shorts on lifestyle, vulnerabilities and gender equality for NGOs. His last work has been Voices of Earth, it tells the story of some of the last human beings that preserves a relation of symbiosis with wild nature in some of the remotest places of our planet.
