Szinopszis:
This documentary celebrates community conservation efforts in Howe Sound near Vancouver, Canada. Historically, the Sound saw huge amounts of industrial pollution and drop offs in marine diversity. Eventually, community restoration initiatives led to impressive results and laid a foundation for future collaborative efforts. However there are still ongoing debates regarding preservation and progress, and not all factions agree about the best way forward. Uncharted Waters explores a new generation navigating the complex topic of holistic preservation: Colonial legacy, scientific communication and ecological appreciation.
Rendező biográfia:
Molly is a British documentary film-maker, who moved to Canada during the pandemic and was immediately inspired by the nature and community in British Columbia. Back home, she is a self-shooting Assistant Producer for television documentaries – having worked on projects for major broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix. In all of her projects, she enjoys educating audiences and giving underrepresented people a voice. Her first short documentary, Blue Light, explored a homeless shelter for women in Bristol (UK) and was screened at HER International Film Festival in Ireland.
