In the American Southwest, an imposing figure with outstretched arms towers into the sky. Unmissable - and at first glance seemingly lifeless. But if you look closely, the icon of the Sonoran Desert is full of life. Like a luxury hotel in a wasteland, one large Saguaro cactus has been attracting countless wild guests for over 200 years. This film tells the life story of this plant with its wild day tourists, quirky residential communities and long-term tenants who manage to make this seemingly prickly cactus fortress their home.
Rendező biográfia:
Yann Sochaczewski has been working in the nature film business for over 18 years. After some years as a freelance wildlife cameraman, he founded the production company ALTAYFILM GMBH in 2011 and has since been developing his visions as a nature filmmaker, producer, author and cinematographer. Many of his films have won awards at international film festivals.
